The World Affairs Council believes that an awareness of the global community must begin at an early point in a student's education.
Middle school students are welcome to attend the main Council programs through the Student Diplomat Corps.
This series brings university students to 6th-12th grade classrooms to speak about their experiences studying abroad. Its goal is to expand students' knowledge of world cultures through a first person presentation.
The college students are selected through an application process to ensure that the presentations are interesting and substantive.

A forum to bring the international community alive for 6th grade World Cultures students. The event is exciting and full of learning opportunities. The 6th graders receive a scavenger hunt "Passport" and are tasked with traveling "Around the World in 80 minutes". To complete the scavenger hunt, students visit with the various presenters at their exhibit booths and receive stamps for their passports.
Held annually in May. In 2009, Teach Africa will occur in its place.
