William E. Earnest is general manager for corporate strategy and development with ConocoPhillips. He has nearly 32 years experience in the petroleum business, with the last 19 years spent almost exclusively in the merger, acquisition and divestment area.  Mr. Earnst has worked in corporate, upstream, midstream, and downstream transaction experience in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Norway, Indonesia, Russia and other locales and has negotiated agreements with LUKoil and EnCana.
