Energy represents the greatest policy challenge of our generation. It lies at the heart of our economy, foreign policy, environment, national security, and our system of education. If the next President can succeed where his predecessors have failed, he could relaunch the US on a course of global economic and moral leadership. Joseph Stanislaw will discuss the five fundamental goals that together could comprise a visionary American energy policy for the 21st century.
Dr. Joseph A. Stanislaw serves as an Independent Senior Advisor to the Energy & Resources practice of Deloitte LLP. He is the founder of The JAStanislaw Group, LLC, specializing in strategic thinking and investment in energy and technology, and the co-founder and former President and Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Energy Research Associates.
As an energy industry leader, advisor, strategist and commentator with more than 30 years of industry experience, Dr. Stanislaw advises the Deloitte U.S. and global energy industry leadership on future trends in the global energy market, and assists in shaping responses to those developments for the organization's clients, focusing on sustainable emerging technologies and innovation.
Dr. Stanislaw is an adjunct professor in the Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences at Duke University, where he is a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions. He serves on the Boards of several corporations which share a specific interest in sustainable and carbon neutral development, climate change, and renewable and alternative clean energy technologies.
