Robert L. Clarke

Robert L. Clarke received his B.A. in economics from Rice University and his L.L.B. from Harvard. He is a senior partner at Bracewell & Giuliani, where he helps lead the firm’s financial services practice. He served as U.S. Comptroller of the Currency from 1985 to 1992, a position he held under Presidents Reagan and Bush. He has served as a consultant to the World Bank and as an advisor to a number of countries developing their banking systems. Clarke serves as a trustee of Rice University, a director of the Dubai Financial Services Authority and the Financial Services Volunteer Corps, as well as other public and private corporations.
