Shara Fryer is an award-winning, longest-running anchorwoman in Houston television. She was a 26-year veteran at ABC-13. She has reported from political campaigns to Inaugurations, business and arts, to features and newsmaker profiles. Fryer is also recognized throughout the Houston area for her commitment to our community's charities. She has given her time to organizations ranging from the YWCA to the Escape Center for Abused Children. She has been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International, a Community Builder by the Masonic Grand Lodge, a "Woman of Distinction" by Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, a “Woman of Influence” by the National Council of Jewish Women, and in November 2006, was awarded the Julie and Ben Rogers Eucumenism Award by the Anti-Defamation League of Houston.
