Born in Sweden, Astrid Van Dyke moved to the United States after she earned her bachelor's degree and attended nursing school. She serves as a director for Vanco Energy, an independent oil and gas exploration company with operations in Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon.
