Chase Untermeyer was named U.S. Ambassador to the State of Qatar by President George W. Bush in 2004.  Untermeyer was elected in 1976 to the Texas House of Representatives and in 1981, he moved to Washington, D.C., to serve in the administrations of President Reagan and the first President Bush. Untermeyer graduated from Harvard College with honors in government
