Bellaire High School In the National AWQ competition Bellaire came in 6th place out of 43 teams! They scored 70 points, the winning team scored 79 points.
WorldQuest A fun, fast-paced quiz on international facts; putting your world-affairs knowledge to the test. The contest is played by groups of 10 students per high school. Players High school and middle school teams can be formed by students, teachers, clubs or organizations.
The Game Academic WorldQuest is played in teams of up to 10 people. Answers are submitted by teams, not by individuals. It is played in four rounds of 20 questions each, with 30 seconds for each question. Answer sheets are turned in at the end of each round. The trophy goes to the team with the highest total for the four rounds. In the event of a tie, a sudden-death round will be played.
Cost There is no cost to schools or students that participate.

Types of questions Questions will be a mixture of contemporary politics and economics, prominent international leaders, geography, history, and international organizations. There is an emphasis on secondary social studies curriculum; 9th grade World Geography and 10th grade World History.

All expenses are paid for the trip to D.C. by the World Affairs Council of Houston.
