Foreign Language Education

Die Grenzen deiner Sprache sind die Grenzen deiner Welt.
The limits of your language are the limits of your world.

-Ludwig Wittgenstein, Philosopher

Fluency in foreign languages is simply essential in today's global community. The World Affairs Council strongly supports foreign language education.

Our foreign language programs include:

Foreign Language Symposia

Since 2001, the Education Outreach Program has hosted its Foreign Language Symposium Series. We invite all Houston area secondary schools and colleges with foreign language programs to participate. Our goal is to reward students for their efforts in learning a second language as well as to recognize teachers for their work in fostering a love of languages.

Global Ambassadors Program
