Laos & Cambodia

Trip Highlights

- Waking early one morning in Luang Prabang to see hundreds of monks lining the streets. Barefoot and dressed in bright orange robes and without speaking, they received alms from the villagers.
- An adventurous crossing of the Tonle Sap Lake in a "ferry boat" took us past floating villages and fishing boats into Phnom Penh
- Our reaction at an elephant, casually walking down a street - in a see of motorcycles - in Cambodia's busy capital
- Lunch under a thatched roof, on the banks of the Mekong River, opposite the Buddha caves

Syria

The World Affairs Council group met with Syria's first lady in a private meeting.
