Young Leader's Forum

The Young Leader’s Forum is a speaker series by students and for students. Held five times a year, it gives high school students an opportunity to meet world leaders and discuss current global issues that concern them most. Students act as event hosts and introduce speakers. Public speaking, leadership skills and protocol are stressed at each forum.

Speakers have included Madeleine Albright, former secretary of state; Daniel Yergin, author of Commanding Heights; Corazon Aquino, former president of the Philippines; and Vicente Fox, former president of Mexico.

All programs are held from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Junior League Building, 1811 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston 77056. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. To attend, email edu@wachouston.org

"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country."
Lincoln's Second Annual Message to Congress, December 1, 1862.
