Daniel P. Erikson is senior associate for U.S. policy and director of Caribbean programs at the Inter-American Dialogue, a Washington, D.C.-based research center on U.S.-Latin American affairs. Erikson teaches Latin American politics at Johns Hopkins-SAIS and has testified before Congress.
Erikson is a noted authority on Haiti, which he has visited regularly over the past decade. His articles about the country have appeared in the Brown Journal of World Affairs, Current History, and Foreign Policy, and he is frequently cited U.S. and international media, including Bloomberg, CNN, and National Public Radio among others. He earned a Masters in Public Policy as a Dean’s Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a BA from Brown University.
